Ensuring a Successful Mission
Achieving mission success means ensuring our Soldiers and their equipment can get where they’re needed, quickly and efficiently, and in a variety of different operating environments. In support of Vigor’s groundbreaking landing craft program for the U.S. Army, the Maneuver Support Vessel – Light (MSVL), Northrop Grumman’s Maritime/Land Systems & Sensors Division is providing the C4I systems engineering and program management support to BMT Designers & Planners.
In this role, Northrop Grumman is responsible for the procurement, design, installation, integration and test of the COTS navigation, and communications systems suite of equipment to be installed on the vessel. In addition, Northrop Grumman is also performing the integration and test of GFE Combat Systems equipment.
Systems Integration
Northrop Grumman is leading the development and instantiation of Cybersecurity Information Assurance for the MSV(L) program, and is also responsible for the design, setup, integration (interfacing of federated systems), and maintenance of the Contractor System Integration Lab (CSIL) through contract completion. The CSIL includes the utilization of live and simulated sensor data from the installed equipment set to demonstrate equipment capability, provide the mechanism for testing system upgrades, and performing periodic cyber scans and conducting IA assessments in accordance with RMF instruction.
